Nikon Intros D5200 D-SLR Camera @Rs 46,950/-

This camera possesses enhanced optical technologies, including an optimized EXPEED 3 image-processing engine, based on the one built into Nikon’s D4 flagship camera. It is an entry-level D-SLR camera that meets photo enthusiasts' demands for full-scale photography capabilities, offering superior performance in a compact and lightweight body.

The D5200 allows photographers of all statures to confidently execute new and creative ways to capture life’s precious moments with the swing out style Vari-angle LCD, making self-portraits possible. Nikon launches D5100 in India

Nikon has launched the D5100 DSLR in India. It is priced at Rs. 39,950 with the AF-S 18-55mm VR kit lens and Rs. 34,450 without the lens.

The new D5100 has a 16.2 megapixel sensor, same as the one on the D7000 and up from the 12 megapixel sensor on the D5000. The new camera can also record videos at 1080p resolution at 30, 25 and 24FPS. There is no 60FPS option for any resolution, unlike the Canon EOS 550D. 

The D5100 has a side mounted 3-inch, 921,000 dots articulated display, unlike the bottom mounted display on the D5000. The D5100 also offers multiple effects that can be applied to images and videos before shooting, a first for a Nikon DSLR.

The Nikon D5100 is sold with a DSLR bag and a 4GB card as part of the standard equipment. 

Fujifilm Launches 12 Digital Cameras in India

Fujifilm has flooded the Indian markets with 12 camera models spread across diverse ranges of price and performance. The models introduced are AV200 and AX300 (A series), JV200, JX300 (J series), FinePix X100, T200, F500 EXR, HS20, S2950, S3300, S4000 and Z900. All these models feature the capability to shoot movies in HD (720p).


Additionally, the new range includes features like digital image stabilization, motion panorama mode, face detection technology, picture search, scene recognition auto, blink detection, smile & shoot mode, and the convenience of easy uploads on Facebook and YouTube. Fujifilm releases ultra-sensitive Z900 EXR camera

Fujifilm has unveiled its new fully-loaded FinePix Z900 EXR point-and-shoot camera. The Z900 has a 16-megapixel, backside-illuminated CMOS sensor that is especially sensitive to light. The camera is an upgrade to the Z800 model and will retail for $280.

The Z900 is the latest model in Fujifilm's Z-series stylish compact camera line. But the camera is more than just glossy good looks and an 18.2mm thin metal body--it also packs an impressive array of features. It has a wide-angle, 5x optical zoom lens; shoots full 1080p HD movies; and sports a 3.5-inch wide LCD touchscreen. The camera is capable of high-speed continuous shooting at up to 12 frames per second (fps), and can capture high-speed videos at an impressive 320 fps. Other fun modes include 360-degree panoramas, face detection, and red-eye removal.

The Z900 also includes a couple of features that make it easy to share images. On the camera's touchscreen, you can set aside photos or videos that you want to upload to Facebook or YouTube. When you upload the marked images to your computer (which will need to have the camera's FinePix Studio software installed), it should only take a click of a button to transfer them to your desired social networks. If social networking isn't your style, then you can use the camera's mini-HDMI port to display your images on your HDTV.

The FinePix Z900 EXR camera will come in three colors: red, blue, and matte black. It will be available in May for $280.

Nikon Launches 10 New Cameras In India

The current launch includes the models - P500, P300, S9100, S6100, S4100, S3100, S2500, L120, L24 and L23, adding to the existing range of P7000, S1100pj, S80, S8100 and S5100. 
Nikon India today announced the launch of its latest COOLPIX Spring Series 2011. The collection includes 10 new cameras with advanced features, available in 39 brilliant colours. The company also introduced Priyanka Chopra as its brand ambassador.

With this addition, Nikon will now showcase a total range of 15 digital compact cameras. The current launch includes the models - P500, P300, S9100, S6100, S4100, S3100, S2500, L120, L24 and L23, adding to the existing range of P7000, S1100pj, S80, S8100 and S5100. 
Commenting on the launch, Hiroshi Takashina, managing director, Nikon India, said, “We have already built up strong position of around 20 per cent market share in compact Camera segment. We are pleased to announce the introduction of 10 new colourful and high image quality COOLPIX products in our lineup today. As a leading brand in India, we are planning to expand the market share to 25 per cent in the coming fiscal year 2011-12, with the introduction of 10 new cameras. In order for us to achieve our goal, we are really happy to have the gorgeous diva of bollywood Priyanka Chopra on board.” 

The entire series is available in all retail outlets and exclusive zones of Nikon across India and is competitively priced between Rs 4,990 and Rs 26,950. 

JVC Introduces The World’s First Full HD 3d Camcorder

After completing a trial run during the course of last year, 3VOD will be launching a new service in Italy, with other countries following. Subscribers to the service will not need a satellite or cable connection.
The service works by allowing a user to choose a film which is then downloaded slowly over a 24 hour period, and then copied to the STB’s hard drive. (A set-top box (STB) or set-top unit (STU) is a device that connects to a television and an external source of signal, turning the signal into content which is then displayed on the television screen or other display device.)
Once the chosen move has been downloaded, it can then be viewed at any time, in 3D. Currently, the service is available to users of Motive’s BESTV set-top boxes. The company is aiming to set up similar services in Europe and South America. In these countries, OTA broadcasting, also known as Over-the-air programming, is still more popular. It is hoped that this service will generate even more interest in 3D television in the countries it will be operating in.
In another world first, and very much on the same topic as 3d Television, JVC announced the world’s first consumer camcorder which offers 3D recording in full HD. The camcorder incorporates a newly developed high-speed processor which produces two simultaneous Full HD images.
