The hitherto known HTC Pyramid has just gone official under the name of HTC Sensation. It has a 4.3-inch, 540 x 960 resolution, touchscreen S-LCD with a unique contoured Gorilla Glass layer on top. The Android smartphone is powered by a powerful 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor with Adreno 220 GPU and has 768MB of RAM. The HTC Sensation has an 8 megapixel camera that can record videos in 1080p resolution. The camera also has the Instant Capture feature, which aims to significantly reduce shutter lag. The phone will be running on Android 2.3 Gingerbread and the latest version of HTC Sense UI, which has a new lockscreen, homescreen and notification screen and will also have the HTC Watch service, which allows users to download or rent full movies on their phone. The phone will be launched in certain European countries in May and later this year in other countries.
