Corsair Launches SP2200 2.1 Speakers

Corsair has introduced the 2.1 channel SP2200 speaker system for all the sensible people out there who'd rather spend on a good 2.1 speaker setup instead of trifling with lower quality 5.1 system at the same price. Priced at Rs. 5,500, the speakers deliver 46 watts of power (RMS), out of which 30 watts are allocated to the subwoofer alone. The 2.1 system is designed to be space saving, with the subwoofer being small enough to be placed on a table. However, the bass isn't compromised as a consequence because the subwoofer includes a 6-inch active driver in a side firing bass reflex configuration.
The satellites are equally diminutive and possess conveniently placed 3.5mm jacks for headphones and auxiliary input, so you don't have to put up with the inconvenience of fumbling with the ports of your soundcard, every time you want to hook up your MP3 player or headphones. They are rated at 8 watts RMS each and Corsair claims to deliver an expansive soundstage with a large sweet spot. However, the final verdict is pending a test here in our labs, so keep your eyes peeled for a review. The speakers are available now and backed by a 2-year warranty.
Specifications:
